Beer Steamed Shrimp

Hi foodie friends! I love shrimp all year long, but there is something about the anticipation of summer and warmer weather that really makes my mouth water for them. So, when I had an opportunity through the FoodBuzz Tastemaker Program to use beer from New Belgium, a local Colorado brewery, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. So, here it is :)

You will need:

-1 pound of large or extra large raw shrimp (with shells and all!)
-1 bottle of New Belgium Ranger IPA
-1 cup of water
-1/4 cup shrimp boil mix
-1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
-Old Bay seasoning

1. In a large pot, pour in beer, water, shrimp boil mix, and vinegar. Bring to a boil.
2. Place shrimp in a steamer basket and liberally sprinkle with Old Bay.
3. Place steamer basket over beer mixture, cover, and steam for about 7 minutes or until shrimp are pink and opaque.

This recipe is easily doubled, tripled, etc. So grab some beer and shrimp and get steamin'!
